Why Kid Events?

We want to provide fun, meaningful events for children and families in our local community.

Day Camp

Every June, we host a high-energy, fun-filled four day camp for children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th Grade.

At Day Camp, children will learn that character counts! Through drama, music and special lessons children will grow as they explore truths from the Bible. The children also love Day Camp because they get to learn from great teachers and hang out with their teen helpers too. (All church volunteers who work with children are carefully screened.)  There is no charge.

Wacky Water Day

We make so many great friends each summer at Day Camp that we thought it would be cool to see each other again. Wacky Water Day is a great opportunity to see all our friends and have a fun afternoon getting wet too. This is held on a Wednesday afternoon in July in partnership with the Westlake Townhome Association.

Trunk Or Treat

We have an annual tradition in which people in our church decorate the trunks of their cars and line up in the church parking lot to pass out candy.

Easter Egg Hunt

In the spring, children and families in our community enjoy an egg hunt. Not only do they get lots of prizes, but they get to see a magic show too. Last spring we co-hosted the hunt with the Westlake Townhouse Association in Bloomingdale.
